Sleepwalker

I was sleepwalking 

Doing what was expected

Trying always to please

Believing what I wanted to see

Daydreaming about a fantasy 

Drifting, floating….eyes shut

Imagining a non-existent reality

Alas, the dreams are over 

I am now wide awake
